I love coffee!
I consume 4-5 big mugs of coffee a day. Brewed is always best but from time to time i do instant. 3-in-1s are ok and handy. Now there are 5-in-1 and who knows soon there will be 1000-in-1 (just like the brick game I use to play) GAG.
I remember this very hilarious true story of a friend when ever I see these mushroom based 5-in-1 coffee sachets. The story goes like this.
A friend of mine was selling this mushroom based products which promises good health. One of these products is the 5-in-1 coffee. He was selling very well especially this coffee that comes in sachets.
One day, a common friend of ours who bought this sacheted coffee called the vendor-friend and complained that the coffee was very strong and kept him awake all night after drinking one (sachet).
Vendor-friend replied in a know-all tone: " Hay naku! Tanga ka pala eh! Bakit mo ininom yung isang sachet ng isang timplahan lang?"
Customer friend: " Bakit? 'Di ba isang timplahan lang naman kada sachet?"
Vendor-friend: " Sus! Kaya nga 5-in-1 yun kasi 5 na timplahan! Bobo!"
Our customer-friend could not reply anymore for he was rolling in laughter.
To be fair to our vendor friend, he was also made to believe that the 5-in-1 coffee was meant to be used for 5 servings. Now he knows.
Enough with GAGs. I would like to share a coffee recipe which I am enjoying. I can not claim this as one of my signature recipes for UCC has this kind of coffee (almost 200 Php a glass! WTF!). Anyway here's my taking on "Mango Coffee".
Mango Coffee
(recipe for 375ml coffee mug)
You will need:
1 pisngi of a very sweet mango (diced)
brewed coffee (plain is preferred)
coffee creamer or milk (whichever you prefer)
a tea tsp of washed sugar
How to:
-mash mango or blend (in a blender of course) until smooth
-mix in sugar into the mashed mango
-put mango mixture in a shaker (spill-proof mugs will do just fine)
-pour in brewed coffee
-add creamer or milk
-shake
-pour in a mug or a high ball
*garnish with a cubed mango and whipped cream on top if wanted
*served cold or hot
*do not use mangoes called Kalabaw for this kind is very fibrous which is not recommended for this recipe
Enjoy the weekend guys with this refreshing recipe.

Empath
After several years of staying in Cavite, my sister, Ate Wowie, and her family is moving back to our family compound (again) in Makati City. The house in which they were staying will be renovated and perhaps to be sold after.
My sister who is 2 years older than I am had gone a stressful decision making regarding this move-back. Stressful because she, just like me, had always wanted to get away from that compound. A dysfunctional compound that is. From the arrangements of the houses to the people who live in them. There are dark forces moving abound in that place. Not the paranormal type guys mind you. Dark forces that can and will inflict physical and emotional harm to the unaware. These I will have to blog some other time for it's gonna be a long one to write.
It is very stressful to move from one place to another. I had my share of it. Packing all your things and making sure everything goes to each kind. Wrapping Chinas individually as to not to have them banging with each other during transit.
Clothes must be arranged in a way that when you unpack them it will be a jiff. Separate packing for those that you need to hang and those which go to the drawers.
Big appliances and pieces of furniture are not that much an effort for they just go as they were unless they have parts that are easily broken. TVs, computer monitors, aquariums and the likes need be protected from scratches and bumps unless you want to watch a boxing bout and not be excited because all faces seemed to be broken already. GAG
Of course there's always professional help for moving. They are just a phone call away. Just be prepared to pay a big amount which to most of the Filipinos is a very silly thing pay for. Filipinos rather do it themselves rather pay a ridiculous amount. Perhaps the DIY idea was inspired by the Filipinos. GAG
I just woke up and having coffee but I feel tired and stressed just thinking this move-in by my sister. Hope things go well.
